Position Overview: Excelsior Defense is seeking a highly experienced Lead Security Officer to oversee our guard force and locations involving significant operational hours. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in security guard management, with a focus on supervising a large team and handling contracts with extensive operational demands using logical approaches in coordination with our Site Manager/Cpt. Key Responsibilities: Supervise and lead a team of security guards, ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures. Provide guidance, training, and support to security personnel to enhance their performance and professional development. Conduct regular patrols and inspections to maintain a secure environment for clients and their assets. Monitor and enforce compliance with contractual obligations, including operational hours and service level agreements. Coordinate scheduling, staffing assignments, and resource allocation to meet client requirements effectively. Respond promptly to incidents, emergencies, and alarms, implementing appropriate protocols and procedures. Provide immediate coverage to any open post while on duty. REQUIRED SKILL SET: Leadership and Team Management Communication and Interpersonal Skills Problem-Solving and Critical Thinking Decision-Making Under Pressure Adaptability and Flexibility Conflict Resolution and Negotiation Emotional Intelligence and Empathy Strategic Planning and Vision Risk Assessment and Management Time Management and Prioritization Incident Response and Threat Mitigation Cybersecurity Frameworks and Standards Compliance Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) Network Security and Firewalls Vulnerability Assessment and Penetration Testing Identity and Access Management (IAM) Encryption and Data Protection Techniques Cloud Security and Virtualization Forensic Analysis and Investigation Security Policy and Procedure Development Qualifications: Minimum of 4+ years of experience in security guard management, preferably in a supervisory or leadership role. Proven track record of managing a guard force consisting of 100+ officers. Proven track record in managing contracts with operational hours exceeding 10,000 hours per month. Strong knowledge of security principles, practices, and industry standards. Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to make sound decisions under pressure and effectively resolve conflicts. Proficiency in using security technology and systems. Valid security guard license with the State of TN. Must have a valid Driver's License, with minimal or no driving infractions within the last 5 years. Provide a drug screening & Background Check as a condition of employment.
